The FP&A Manager is responsible for driving the Financial Planning & Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes within the organization. The person should have good experience in Billing and Collection Processes. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting strategic decision-making by providing in-depth financial analysis and insights. The FP&A Manager collaborates with various departments to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives, monitors financial performance, and identifies areas for improvement. This person should also ensure the Billing is happening accurately and timely and also ensure that Collections of the AR is taken care inorder to keep the DSO within the guided timelines.

What the Role needs to be Achieve :

  • Develop and implement robust financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
  • Enhance financial reporting processes and tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop new processes and Improve the exising Billing and Collection Processes in Place to achieve more efficiency in the areas of timely & accurate Invoicing, reduction in AR and DSO days.

Ensuring that Team members are motivated and guided to get best results from them to achieve Corporate goals.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial planning.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and related analysis.
    • Perform variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and forecasts, identifying key vairances and steps to mitigate them.
      • Ensuring that Invoices are raised on time and as per the Terms and conditions of Contracts/ Agreements/ PO.
      • Ensruing that Collections are happening as per the projections given by Sales Team and thus reducing the AR and DSO days
      • Develop and improve processes to become more efficient in terms of Billing and Collections.
    • Reporting & Insights:
      • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
      • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial analysis the areas of improvements.
      • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure business performance, more specifically in Billing and Collections Domain.
    • Business Partnering:
      • Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and provide support.
      • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment of financial goals and objectives.
      • Support strategic initiatives and projects with financial analysis and insights.
    • Process Improvement:
      • Continuously evaluate and improve FP&A, Billing and Collection processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Implement financial systems and tools to automate reporting and analysis.
      • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through robust internal controls.
    • Team Leadership:
      • Mentor and develop the FP&A team, Billing & Collections teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
      • Delegate tasks and projects effectively, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
      • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
      • Timely reporting of the issues if any, and suggesting the remedial measures to immediate Manager.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

 

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting, Billing and Collection Processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial software.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA, CMA) preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Financial planning and analysis, Billing & Collections with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of leading budgeting, forecasting, Billing and Collections and financial reporting processes.
  • Experience in a large, complex organization, preferably within the technology or data center management industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement financial systems and tools.
  • Strong experience in mentoring and developing a high-performing FP&A, Billing and Collections team.
